Privacy Policy
How Ashen Throne handles account, gameplay, and social reward verification data.
This Privacy Policy explains how Ashen Throne ("Ashen Throne," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you visit ashenthr.one, play the game at play.ashenthr.one, or use related community and alpha services.
Information we collect
Account information. We collect the username, password credential, guest account status, and player identifier needed to create and secure your account. If you use Google sign-in or Sign in with Apple, we may store the account identifier and email address provided by that sign-in method. If you play on a mobile app store build, you may be asked to confirm you are 13 years of age or older when creating an account.
Gameplay information. We store game progress and gameplay state, including resources, commanders, troops, buildings, alliance membership, messages, battle results, marketplace activity, rewards, and related timestamps.
Technical and analytics information. Our servers may receive IP address, device or browser information, user agent, authentication timestamps, error logs, and security-related events. Our mobile apps use Google Firebase Analytics and Meta App Events, which may process app-instance or app-install identifiers, device and app information, and app interaction events. The apps report app activation, new-account, and qualified-signup events so we can measure which advertising produces real players. The iOS app does not ask for App Tracking Transparency and never collects the device advertising identifier (IDFA). Install and campaign measurement runs on Apple’s SKAdNetwork, which reports in aggregate and identifies no individual device. The Meta SDK is configured with advertising-identifier collection and advertiser tracking switched off, so its events cannot be used for ads personalization. The Android app is configured not to request Android advertising-ID permissions. If you allow advertising measurement on the Alliance Cup landing page, X, Google, and Meta advertising tags may process cookie identifiers, ad-click identifiers, page URLs, and browser or device information to attribute visits from ads. The website tags also receive a pseudonymous player transaction identifier when that visitor completes the opening Generator restart, our qualified-signup milestone.
Community reward verification information. If you choose to verify a social follow or membership reward, we may store the platform, verification status, verification timestamp, external account identifier or handle when provided by the platform, and the in-game mail reward identifier. We do not ask for your social platform password.
Google and YouTube data
If you choose to verify a YouTube community reward, we request permission to use the YouTube Data API scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly. We use that permission only to check whether the Google account you authorized is subscribed to the official Ashen Throne YouTube channel.
We do not store your Google OAuth access token for this reward flow. We do not store your full YouTube subscription list, videos, comments, playlists, watch history, or channel analytics. We may store the fact that the reward was verified, the time of verification, and your YouTube channel identifier or title if available.
Ashen Throne's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Mobile app store purchases
If you buy in-game currency ("Golden Ashes") through the Ashen Throne app on the Apple App Store or Google Play, the purchase is processed by Apple or Google's in-app billing system, not by us directly. We use RevenueCat to receive confirmation of your purchase from Apple or Google and to credit your account. RevenueCat may send a verified purchase event, product, currency, and value to Meta together with Meta's app-install identifier so Meta can attribute advertising results. We do not receive or store your payment card details; Apple, Google, RevenueCat, and Meta's handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies.
How we use information
- To create, authenticate, and secure player accounts.
- To operate gameplay systems, mail rewards, battles, alliances, leaderboards, and alpha services.
- To verify optional community rewards that you choose to start.
- To prevent abuse, cheating, spam, account theft, and duplicate rewards.
- To debug crashes, monitor server health, and improve the alpha.
- To measure app usage, account-creation and early-game conversions, and the effectiveness of our advertising.
- To respond to support, privacy, and account deletion requests.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the game and website, such as hosting, deployment, authentication, analytics, payment, email, advertising measurement, or security providers. These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services. Google processes Firebase Analytics data and may receive app interaction events and an app-instance identifier for analytics and Google Ads conversion measurement; Ashen Throne does not send Google the Android advertising ID. Meta may receive app activation, app interaction, account-creation, qualified-signup, and verified store-purchase events together with an app-install or permitted device identifier for Meta advertising measurement. If you allow it on the Alliance Cup landing page, X, Google, and Meta process website-visit, click-attribution, qualified-signup, and purchase-measurement data through their advertising tags. For a consented website purchase, our server may also send Meta the purchase value, product, browser identifiers, IP address, user agent, and page URL through the Conversions API. That matching data is kept only while the purchase event is pending delivery and is then removed. We do not enable Google's enhanced-conversions feature or send email addresses through the website conversion tags.
If you initiate a third-party OAuth or social platform flow, your browser is redirected to that third-party service. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect players, to investigate abuse or security issues, or to enforce our Terms of Service.
Cookies and local storage
Ashen Throne may use cookies, local storage, or similar browser storage to keep you signed in, remember settings, secure sessions, and operate the game client. On the Alliance Cup landing page, X, Google, and Meta advertising tags are disabled until you choose Allow in the advertising-measurement notice. Your choice is stored locally so the site can remember it and is passed to the game only when you follow the Play link. You can change that choice through Cookie Settings in the page footer. Rejecting advertising measurement does not limit access to the page or game. You can also control browser storage through your browser settings, but disabling storage required by the game may prevent some game features from working correctly.
Data retention
We keep account and gameplay information for as long as needed to operate Ashen Throne, preserve game integrity, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Short-lived OAuth state records are used to complete the verification flow and expire automatically.
Your choices
You can choose not to connect a third-party account or not to participate in community reward verification. You can reject or withdraw X, Google, and Meta website advertising measurement through Cookie Settings on the Alliance Cup page. On iOS, you can allow or deny Meta app advertising measurement in Apple's tracking prompt and later change the choice in Settings. You can request account deletion, access, or correction by contacting us at admin@ashenthr.one. We may need to verify that you control the account before making changes.
Children
Ashen Throne is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use the service. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No online service can guarantee complete security, especially during an alpha, so you should use a unique password and keep your login credentials private.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the alpha evolves. If changes are material, we will update the date above and may provide additional notice in-game, on the website, or through community channels.
