Tradeable In-Game Assets in Ashen Throne: What Ownership Changes

By Ashen Throne Editorial · Updated 2026-10-02

Ashen Throne's current Vault supports two kinds of player-owned assets: legendary commanders and legendary equipment. An eligible asset can be exported from your game account to a verified wallet as a Vault Asset on the current Robinhood Chain rail, then imported into a supported Ashen Throne account later. The Vault can also recognize supported legacy Base assets for import.

That does not make every item tradeable. Resources, Golden Ashes, troops, skill cards, Signal Conduits, blueprints, and non-legendary commanders or equipment do not appear as exportable Vault assets in the current flow. The ownership layer is optional and remains in live testing.

Which Ashen Throne assets can enter the Vault?

Asset in your account Current Vault status Main conditions
Legendary commander Supported when eligible Must be home, healthy, not the Crawler defender, and not your last usable commander
Legendary equipment Supported when eligible Must be unlocked, unequipped, and absent from a commander loadout
Non-legendary commander or equipment Not exportable Promote it to legendary before it can qualify
Resources and Satoshis Not a Vault asset Use the in-game economy and Signal Exchange instead
Golden Ashes Not a Vault asset ASH pays the export fee; it is not exported as an item
Troops, skill cards, Signal Conduits, and blueprints Not directly exportable They remain game-account systems or inventory items

The official Shop Vault shows the current supported categories. This guide explains why an asset within those categories may still be blocked.

Commander export has roster safeguards

A legendary commander is ready to export only when every current check passes:

If the commander has Signal Conduits installed, the Vault asks you to choose another owned, undeployed commander to receive them first. Equipped skill cards stay in your inventory rather than travelling with the exported commander.

These are not suggestions. The server checks them again when you confirm, so a commander that deploys, becomes injured, or loses eligibility while the screen is open will not export from stale information.

Equipment must be legendary and free of loadout ties

Legendary equipment uses a shorter but strict checklist. Before export, the item must be:

The equipment leaves your inventory when export begins. If the item still appears on a commander or is locked against accidental changes, clear that state before returning to the Vault.

Export access and the current fee

Export currently requires either Premium Player Status or an active VIP Growth Status. The base price is 500 ASH per asset. Active VIP applies the current 75 percent discount, so the Vault displays 125 ASH while that status is active. VIP can also open export while active for an account that does not have permanent Premium Player Status.

Treat the number shown in your Vault as authoritative. Entitlement and price are checked again inside the export transaction, and these values can change during testing.

Smart contract wallets, including Safe accounts, need chain-specific ownership proof and support for receiving NFTs. A wallet proven on Robinhood Chain is not automatically authorized to import a legacy Base asset; the Vault checks the wallet and collection on the asset's own chain.

The ownership flow is available on the supported web surface, not through the Apple or Google store clients. You can play Ashen Throne without linking a wallet or using the Vault.

What changes when you export an asset?

Export moves the supported asset out of the game account and mints its Vault representation to the verified wallet. You should not plan around using the same commander or equipment in the game while it is held in the wallet.

For a commander, the export snapshot preserves the supported commander identity, legendary rarity, level, experience, class, and innate ability. Skill cards are left in inventory and Signal Conduits are transferred to the commander you selected. For equipment, the snapshot preserves the supported item identity, slot, legendary rarity, and level.

The important decision is therefore operational: is this asset more useful in your current roster, or do you want it held through the ownership rail? Exporting your only suitable formation piece before an alliance operation can cost more than the ASH fee.

What happens when a Vault Asset returns?

Import is the reverse custody step. The connected wallet must hold a supported Ashen Throne Vault Asset. The import flow burns that wallet asset, verifies the result, and reconstructs the backed commander or equipment in the game account from its saved snapshot.

There are still blockers. A commander already deployed under the same identity must return before a supported merge. If the account already holds that commander at legendary rank, importing another legendary copy is blocked. Equipment can exist in multiple copies, provided the Vault snapshot is valid.

This is why import is not the same as copying an item. The wallet asset is consumed as the in-game asset is restored.

What tradeable does not guarantee

Vault eligibility gives you a supported way to move an asset between an Ashen Throne account and a verified wallet. It does not guarantee:

Export is not a sale. Ashen Throne does not create a buyer or set a resale outcome when you move an asset into your wallet.

Use this checklist before exporting

Before confirming an export, ask:

  1. Is the asset legendary and listed as ready in the Vault?
  2. Have I cleared its deployment, defender, injury, equipment, lock, or loadout blockers?
  3. Will my remaining roster still support the operations I plan to run?
  4. Have I chosen a valid home for any Signal Conduits?
  5. Does the Vault show my verified wallet, current access status, and the price I expect?
  6. Am I comfortable moving the asset out of the game without assuming a buyer or future value?

For the wider resource, crafting, and marketplace system, read the Ashen Throne economy guide. The Vault is one optional layer in that economy, not the whole game.
