ALLIANCES

Playing together

Chat and the message of the day

Every alliance has its own chat channel. Officers set a message of the day, which is posted to alliance chat when it changes and shown again to each member, privately, the next time they log in. So a member who was offline when it changed still sees it exactly once.

Seeing your allies

Alliance members show as markers on the world map wherever they are, live. Be precise about what this is: it shows you where your allies are standing. It does not lift the fog for you, and it does not reveal what is around them. Your own vision radius is still your own.

Siege rallies

An Officer calls a rally on the active Citadel stage. Every squad that joins marches to a staging point just outside the Citadel and parks there instead of queueing one by one. On launch, every parked squad enters the siege queue in the same tick. That is the whole point: a mass attack without everyone having to time their arrival to the second.

The queue itself still resolves one attacker at a time. See Citadel siege.

Diplomacy

Vice Leaders and above mark another alliance friendly or hostile. This is map colour coding, so you can read a crowded map at a glance. It changes no combat rule: a friendly alliance is not protected from you, and a hostile one takes no extra damage.

Discord

Two separate things, both optional.

The alliance's own server. The Leader sets a Discord invite link, which then shows on the alliance hub and in the directory so recruits can find it. A Vice Leader can set a webhook, which posts objectives, chests, sieges, wrecks and help requests into your own server.

The tag role. If you have linked your Discord account to the game, you automatically wear a hoisted [TAG] role in the official Ashen Throne server, coloured by your faction. It follows your real membership: the game reconciles it from live state on a timer rather than reacting to events, so it corrects itself whether you joined, left, were kicked or your alliance disbanded. The starter alliance is deliberately excluded.

The history log

Every alliance keeps an audit log: joins, leaves, kicks, promotions, demotions, leadership transfers, settings and charter edits, diplomacy changes, invites, applications accepted and rejected, war subsidy changes, objectives completed and chest tiers unlocked. Any member can read it. It is the record of who did what, which matters most in exactly the arguments an alliance actually has.
