ALLIANCES
Roles and permissions
| Role | How many | What they can do |
|---|---|---|
| Leader | 1 | Everything. Transfers leadership, disbands, sets the Discord invite. |
| Vice Leader | 2 | Everything except disbanding and transferring leadership. Sets diplomacy, promotes a Member to Officer, distributes from the war chest, sets the Discord webhook. |
| Officer | 5 | Kicks members, edits settings and the join policy, arms the war subsidy, rerolls and pins an objective, calls a rally, handles applications. |
| Member | up to 44 seats in total | Chat, the help board, objectives, rankings, siege and the war chest ladder. |
Promoting and demoting
- The Leader promotes anyone up the ladder and demotes anyone below them.
- A Vice Leader can promote a Member to Officer and demote an Officer back.
- Nobody can promote someone into their own rank or above it, and nobody can demote or kick someone of equal or higher rank.
- The Officer and Vice Leader counts in the table above are hard caps. Promote past them and the game refuses.
Transferring leadership
The Leader hands the alliance to any member. The old Leader becomes a Vice Leader in the same move. This is also the only way a Leader can leave an alliance that still has other members in it.
If a Leader is somehow the last member and leaves, the alliance dissolves.
Kicking
An Officer can kick Members. A Vice Leader can kick Officers and Members. The Leader can kick anyone but themselves.
Disbanding
Only the Leader can disband. Disbanding removes every member, releases any Citadel districts the alliance held, and clears its diplomacy.
What leaving, a kick or a disband does to your stuff
All three run the same cleanup, because all three mean your alliance benefits are gone the instant it happens.
- Siege queue rows and garrison at the Citadel are recalled, and those squads are sent home.
- In-flight attack marches are turned around and walk back to your Crawler.
- Open help requests you left on the board are closed.
- Your contribution points are counted per alliance, so your total in the alliance you left stays there and you start from nothing in the next one.
- Your faction reputation goes with you. It is yours, not the alliance's, which is why an alliance losing members loses alliance XP. See alliance level.
Squads already deployed at extraction sites are not recalled. They finish and come home the usual way.
One thing a kick and a leave do not share: prize money. For the Alliance Cup, being kicked still pays you and walking away does not. See Cup membership rules.
