Promoting and demoting

Transferring leadership

The Leader hands the alliance to any member. The old Leader becomes a Vice Leader in the same move. This is also the only way a Leader can leave an alliance that still has other members in it.

If a Leader is somehow the last member and leaves, the alliance dissolves.

Kicking

An Officer can kick Members. A Vice Leader can kick Officers and Members. The Leader can kick anyone but themselves.

Disbanding

Only the Leader can disband. Disbanding removes every member, releases any Citadel districts the alliance held, and clears its diplomacy.

What leaving, a kick or a disband does to your stuff

All three run the same cleanup, because all three mean your alliance benefits are gone the instant it happens.

Squads already deployed at extraction sites are not recalled. They finish and come home the usual way.

One thing a kick and a leave do not share: prize money. For the Alliance Cup, being kicked still pays you and walking away does not. See Cup membership rules.
