PROGRESSION

Items and catalysts

Temporal Catalysts

Catalysts shorten timers. They come in grades, and a higher grade takes more off the clock. The design rule is absolute: every timer in the game can be boosted. The only exceptions are anti-spam cooldowns and combat resolution itself.

Refining is the one boost measured in hours instead: a catalyst refines a fixed number of hours of one refinery's output (see resources).

When a timer is close enough to finishing, boosting it becomes free. That free window is the cheapest speedup in the game, and the client tells you when a timer is inside it.

Crawler build materials

Carapace Plates and Ember Glands build the Mark II and Mark III Crawlers in the Garage. Carapace Plates drop from Sunder Basin monsters in the Wastes and Ember Glands from Glassfield monsters in the Deep Wastes, and both trade on the market.

Signal Shards and beacons

Shards pull commanders from the beacon. Duplicates rank up the commander you already have rather than being wasted.

Chests

Chests are opened from your inventory, and their contents are rolled when you open them rather than when you receive them.
