COMBAT

Commanders

A commander leads a squad. Their element decides which of your units their skills apply to, and their leadership pool decides how many units they can take.

Innate skills

Every commander has one innate skill, and it scales with their rank, so the same commander is meaningfully different at rank one and rank four. Some innate skills can also be crafted as cards and used by other commanders of the same element; the rest belong to that commander alone. The skills page says which is which.

Leadership

Leadership grows with rank and with Signal Conduits. The grant per conduit shrinks as a commander's leadership climbs, so the first conduits on a commander are worth considerably more than the last ones.

Hostiles

You will meet these on sites, in the Gauntlet and at the Citadel.
