ALLIANCES

Cup membership rules

The Alliance Cup pays real money to alliances, and each alliance's prize then splits between its members. That makes moving alliances mid-week a money question, so the rules are written out here in full.

Read this before you switch alliances during a Cup week.

Your work is stamped where you did it

Every contribution is recorded against the alliance you were in when you made it. Nothing moves it afterwards. Switching alliances in the middle of a Citadel stage does not hand your earlier battles to your new alliance, and it does not take them away from your old one either.

Two halves of a prize

An alliance's prize splits in two. 30% is the base share, split equally between every eligible member. The rest is the contribution share, split by what each member actually did, capped so no one member takes more than 50% of the alliance prize.

To be eligible at all you need either one siege battle for that alliance inside the week, or 60 minutes of garrison time. The two halves then behave differently when you move.

The base share: one alliance, once a week

You are paid a base share through exactly one alliance per week: the one you finished the week in, meaning the alliance on your last contribution inside the week. It is paid once, and never twice.

The contribution share: it depends on how you left

This is the rule that matters.

How you left an allianceWhat happens to the work you did for it
You were kickedIt still pays you, pro rata, exactly as if you had stayed.
The alliance disbandedThe same. It still pays you.
You left voluntarilyIt is forfeited, unless you return and finish the week there.

Being removed is not your decision, so it does not cost you anything. Walking away is, so it does.

A kick earns the remaining members nothing. The kicked player's share is paid out exactly as it would have been. There is no way to enlarge your own slice by clearing people out at the end of a week.

A voluntary departure is different: the share you forfeit goes to that alliance's remaining members.

If the only alliance still paying you is one you were kicked from, you get your contribution share from it and no base share that week, because the base share travels with the alliance you finished in.

The base share is still paid through the alliance you finished in even when that alliance owes nobody else one. If every other member's work there has vested elsewhere, its prize simply pays out entirely as contribution.

If you left and came back

What counts is your last departure from that alliance inside the week.

Rejoining on its own changes nothing. Finishing the week there is what undoes a voluntary leave.

Leaving locks you out elsewhere, briefly

After you leave an alliance voluntarily, work you do for any other alliance does not count towards the Cup for 24 hours.

The window is judged on when the work happened, not on when the week ended. It shadows only what you do inside it: work you had already done elsewhere before you left is untouched, and a leave late in the week only shadows what is left of the week.

Work for the alliance you just left is never locked, so leaving and rejoining the same alliance is only affected by the forfeit rule above, not by the lock.

The lock exists for one reason: without it you could bank a full week of work in one alliance, walk out, and start banking a second week of work somewhere else the same afternoon.

The short version

Fight for the alliance you intend to finish the week with. If you are removed, you keep what you earned. If you walk, you do not.
